Autum/Winter Accessories Wishlist

I am someone who likes to add a lot of my outfit's personality with accessories. Little quirky things that I am happy to look down at. I thought I'd put together a small post of a few neat things I've come across, recently.

Sleeping Fox Locket from emmagemshop on Etsy   River Island Skeleton Necklace from asos

Fox socks from Gap                                                     Star Hair Pins from daintydaisies on Etsy

Bird Skull Ring from asos                            Vintage Purse Necklace on Etsy

Pendelton bag via Urban Outfitters                     British Racing Green Butter London Nail Polish

I was so close to buying the socks, a couple nights ago, but I didn't know whether or not I could afford the excess splurge. And the little purse necklace is identical to one I fell in love with, in August, only the same deal. Just dreaming and hoping there will still be time for them! ;)

Amanda and I are working on getting a few really great cool-weather items into the shop, so look out for those!

Have a great weekend.

Shop Markdowns!

With the colder months already here (they came so quickly!), we've permanently marked down most of the clothing in our shop!  We've picked up a few gorgeous snuggly items that we'll list soon, but in order for us to buy more cold-weather appropriate attire, we need to make room by selling as much of the Summer items as we can.

Click here to head on over to our shop, if you please! :)

Silent Sundays

Here is the post I was talking about!

About a month ago, Amanda and I got the chance to take a Greyhound bus to Atlanta for the super-exciting request Rhiannon and Jamie made regarding us modelling for their Autumn/Winter 2011 Lookbook. If you somehow don't all ready know them, Rhiannon is a long time favorite fashion/vintage blogger who we have followed for years now, so it was the greatest surprise to be considered for this. Jamie is an amazing photographer and all around sweet person. Together they've put together the Vintage and Independent Designer online store Silent Sundays.

They took us to some absolutely amazing locations for shooting. My favorite being this old abandoned Mansion's greenhouse built in the 1920s. Other than the fact that it was huge, beautiful, and exactly the type of place I'd love to hang out and shoot in myself--the history was fascinating, as well. The mansion outside of this greenhouse was once a Mental Health Institution and there were signs of it's former occupants everywhere.

Modelling is not something I've ever confidently seen myself doing, so it was quite the experience! I really love seeing how Jamie and Rhiannon work together to make it turn out. (And obviously Amanda is a pro.) Look how darkly-magical Jamie's photos came out! Just the style I love.

Needless to say, it was such an honor to work with them and so much fun!

Halloween

Long time without an update, I know! We've been waiting on a particular post, which should be up shortly. Until then, I thought I'd make a little post on our costumes from last night! Amanda and I have always wanted to festively hand out candy, since we're not part of those attending crazy Halloween parties (for now, anyway. You can invite me next year if you want to.) So, yesterday, we spent all afternoon running around looking for candy I'd be willing to give to children (and myself.) Organic vegan gummy bunnies and 100% ethically-traded chocolate, sweetened with beet sugar, it was! Ha!

Then we threw these together within literal minutes. Yes, we are good. Sorry for the point-and-shoot photo quality.
